A game about you, a secret, and the trees.

Los Arboles is a horror RPG about being lost in the woods that can be completed in a couple hours or less. It requires a standard playing card deck and 2-4 players. The book guides you through seven encounters with the trees, but your response is dependent upon yourself and your luck. Each playthrough will be different.

You have a secret, and the woods want you to remember.

The downloadable contents include a playbook that will take you through the seven encounters in your woods, as well as printable playsheets to record your character and actions on. The playbook and sheets are specifically designed to function with screen readers for low vision players.

Play well.

Special thanks to Sam Day for the creation of the gorgeous playsheets.

We played this on the actual play podcast Hope's Hearth and it was so much fun! We had William A. Wellman (Creator of Hello From The Hallowoods) play the game with us and we spent at least 5 minutes talking about how good the writing, layout, and game art is.

The mechanics were easy to follow and helped lead the story without forcing us to do things, and man sometimes it felt like the cards just KNEW what was supposed to happen!

Absolutely phenomenal, 10/10 definitely will play again.

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback! I love hearing that people played and had fun with my scary woods game.

Hi - sorry for taking so long to respond, I've been super busy! Can you clarify what you mean? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking for - sorry! You can email me at tainoacosta@gmail.com.

I just played this game with two friends on Zoom (with a few adjustments to allow for remote play.) We had an amazing time and were super creeped out in the best way possible. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

I'm speechless with joy at hearing this! Thank you for letting me know y'all played and enjoyed, and have a wonderful time in the future!

Hello again - I played this a second time with friends in person, around my kitchen table by candlelight. It was very different than the last time, a different group of people, and a different story - and no less wonderful and terrifying. Thank you once again for your art.
